Rb25 VVT - absolutely not. RB25 non VVT (Same as RB20 I believe) possibly. Have to check that.

Zoom mounted an RB26 plenum on their RB20DET which was in that white VS. So with the RB25DET, I'd say theres a fair chance. I'd have to ask, why??? RB25DET plenums with some extrude honing flow wicked numbers.

well to simplyfy plumbing really. yer they did put the RB26 intake on didnt they i remember that and it ended up being worse then the Rb20DET intake because the Rb26DET intake is made for a bigger 2600cc not 2000cc so im guessing 3000cc the rb26 intake could either be good or not good enough what u think????

there are plenty of aftermarket plenums like Greddy etc which mount forward, work great, and look good too. But no rb26 plenum doesn't bolt up without modification. But it's been covered before i think. Search...

Yeah from plumbing reasons I can see why you'd do it, mind you you have to way up easier plumbing against a manifold not suited to your car, I'd expect lower performance from the RB26DETT manifold on the RB25DET engine, as it's simply not made for it. A custom one would be the way to go, plenty on offer from local business too, but if it's out of your price range, you may need to be happy with a tad more complicated plumbing which shouldn't cost to much more anyway, as it's a fairly common conversion now. Let us know how it goes.

In the zoom magazine they cut down RB20 runners. So it doesn't necessarily mean they will fit. I can gaurantee you that they don't go close to fitting the RB25 vvt manifold face, but then again the RB25 VVt face doesn't go anywhere near the Rb20/25 non VVT. So maybe the 26 and 20 are similar??? I am doing this now and I want the GTR plenum and multiple throttle bodies because I believe that is the best option for manifolding for my 30/25

Hey LukeVL be sure to take some pics as you get bits and pieces done on it, it'd be good to see come together,

Ok so your going to use the whole setup multiple TB and all aye. yer i was thinking of making a log style plenum but i dunno it died in the ass lol. how much would i be looking at for a custom plenum for the RB25 i looked at the greedy 1 on i think they wanted $700 or somthin is this how much they are worth also seen a HKS exhaust manifold to fit T3 and T4 split pulse turbos and a 40mm HKS wastegate part and they wanted $999 retails for $2100 they reckin is this right?????

I would only go for the Greddy or GTR or std RB25. Who sells the Greddy plenums for $700> I will buy one tomorrow if you can get me the name of the place please HYBRID? I test fitted the GTR setup (Plenum, TBs and manifold) and in the VL with a 30 block and 25 head it misses the booster by about 20mm at best. This kind of shot my plan in the ass of using a 25mm spacer because even if I did fit it in, the engine rock would still wack the booster. !!!!!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i think it was a GTR model but it was saying greedy u cant believe the crap on ebay can u fit the manifold and plenum but no TB?? cant this be done and will it fit and then just put a TB at the front???

yes but you will have to make a custom manifold to go from the cylinder head to the plenum

ok so its pretty much a waste of time u reckin?? how much would i be looking at for a custom plenum using my Rb25 runners.

Your best bet is the Greddy plenum for the Rb25 head, it will obviously bolt straight on. A better way would be to get a complete GTR top half, plenum, six throttle bodies, and the complete cylinder head. If you work it all out, by the time you sell your RB25 head complete, and buy the GTR head, it might not cost that much more than just buying the Greddy.

How much is the greedy 1??? im guessing the RB26 head is about $4000 or more with manifolds.

You'll be hard pressed to find a GTR head with the inlet on it. I was considering this but I have already extensively modified my 25 head so I have to change the manifold.

yer thats what i mean i was just talking to some1 and they were saying these inlet plenums are like $1700 and up i thought they were cheaper then that why are they so exspensive???

I bought an inlet manifold, six throttle bodies and plenum as a complete assembly for $850 a year ago, about the same cost as a secondhand Greddy at that time. GTR Cylinder heads usually go for around $1,000 to $2,000 depending on age and condition. An early high mileage R32 GTR head with worn out valve guides is not worth much, and will be expensive to recondition but afterwards it will be like new. You can sometimes buy a complete RB26DETT with absolutely everything fitted to it, (suitable only for a rebuild) for $3,000 if you look around. These engines have often done a high mileage and spun a bearing, or have suffered severe detonation damage and shattered pistons, a scored bore, or something like that. They are stuffed, but most of the bolt on parts would be fine for stripping and reuse. Oil pump, water pump, oil cooler, cylinder head, manifolds, plenum, throttle bodies, and a lot of useful small parts, the twin turbos might even be o/k if you are really lucky. A really good running complete RB26DETT might cost you $6,000, but a blown up one complete is only worth about half that if you can find one. Provided you are not in a really desperate hurry, keep looking, they are out there.
