I got my auto back the other day as I did a manual to auto conversion and the car takes off like a slug! The thing is its got a 3500rpm stally but the thing only stalls to 2000rpm and still takes off like a slug. Ive got a gt35 and its a full manual trimatic with transbrake. Those of you with a 3500rpm stall what can you stall it to? The two reasons I can think of are the stall not being a 3500rpm one or it could be my car has not been tuned (autronic) to the auto yet and is in a **** tune as it was tuned to the manual. Any ideas?
It will also feel a bit slugish after having a manual no matter what.
Especialy at low revs.
Where did you get the auto from? Can't you take it back and see what they think?
Yeah im taking it back to yarra valley autos because he didnt put it all in and just wants to go over it all to make sure its all good. He said the stally is made for a certain power/torque and cos it hasnt been tuned since the auto was put in it wont be making the power it should be and therefore should be fine once its tuned.
2000rpm that sounds like its got the standard convertor in it. Mates got a gt3540 on his with a 3500rpm stall in the jatco box his will stall to 3000rpm fairly easy no trans brake??
