they are good in sense that the round key and does deter ppl from thinking twice.. But all you need is a flat blade between the door and lock edge and away you go.. Also, my mates solex key can open up his gfs car with a solex lock... Something to think about

they are better than a standard lock but if they want to get into your car the will cause i had them in my car and they cut around the lock and took it out leaving a big whole in my door

yeah **** that.. i practically leave my car unlocked these days whenever i leave it.. just i make sure it aint goin no where though.. sucks having it stolen once and three windows replaced and all doorlocks ****ed besides the drivers door.. on three seperate occassions in four months!... Aint no way i want people puttin holes in my ****. I suggest spending the money on makin sure your car aint goin anywhere for when they DO get in it.. cause they will.. the harder u make it.. the more damage they cause .. sad.. but true. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

just disconnect all ur doors and use remote central locking. with a good alarm and immobs there not goin nowhere and let them work to get in your car the longer it takes the better, cause by the time they get in your there to fcuk em up big time. If i catch the kunt that stole my siht look out cause im watchin ya.

i reckon the main advantage of solex locks is that just having them there deters most simple minded thieves. if they se em there they would just think 'bugger ****in around with this VL lets just go find one with stocko locks'. but yea the sad fact of the matter is no matter what u have there r gonna b ppl that are goin to be able to get into ur car one, by doing heaps of damage or just by know-how. no lock is fool proof really. just find a good hiding spot for ur head deack face!

GO THE WOGS !! Solex locks are better than the standard ones because it will stop the simple minded 15 year olds that just want your ashtray contents and the cds/stereo. Make sure you file out the doors so they are a snug fit - dont install them when they are loose and sloppy without the plastic backing. A small file and about 1mm off each flat and your in business. I recommend that you get a few kill switches and so forth. Oh yeah, if a VL theif wants your car, they can stab a screw driver right through the sheet metal next to the door lock and slide the locking modual to open the doors. I wish VLs had dead locks like the VS do Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
