Yeah you can use these turbos on your rb30 there just a bit smaller then the normal t03 turbo you get on your vl turbos and there a ceramic wheel not steel wheel i think..hope this helps.

Mate i have a Rb20 T3 on my VL at the moment with all my mods 3inch exhaust, front mount cooler, pod filter,RB25DET head,MT8 ECU tuned my rigoli on 10 psi i was told not to go over 10 psi cause these turbos have a reputation to blow off the wheel i have 150rwkw which isnt that great with all those mods i think it would even be worse on a single cammer head even i wouldnt waste ur time but if its only like $100 then just use it if ur 1 blows up but i wouldnt raise hell over it im changing to a T04 when i get the money.

The best description i've heard of the RB20 turbo is that its roughly a T28 sized turbo with a T3 flange.

you will find the exhaust housing dump pipe will point in the wrong angle for a RB30 and also the stock RB20 turbo cannot handly any boost over 14 PSI unless you want to see the exhaust wheel stuck in the exhaust system Better option would be a T3 or T4, or maybe a RB25 turbo which isnt a ceramic item Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Bro take it from me if u want to just put the Rb20 T3 on just to get Around while u get your VL T3 fixed then go 4 it but dont use the RB20 T3 for a long term thing its not upgrading ur system ur actully going bacwards you know what i mean but im sure if you get your VL T3 fixed you could probley sell ur RB20 T3 to sum1 that has a 4 Cylinder looking for a upgrade the Rb25 T3 has ceramic wheel aswell i think the T3 on a Rb20 is like the T28 on the GTR twin setup and are hopeless as 1. man as a run around grab it but dont get it if ur thinking of a long term setup. trust me i know i have a Rb20 T3 on my VL at the moment was on there when i bought the thing its good down low but up the top u got nothin really no chirps to 2nd nofin.

true yer good combination 200kw @ wheels can be produced by that combination. i know the RB20 Turbo would spool faster its ball bearing aswell aye? but it has a smaller exhaust housing im sure of it.

While the safe limit may be 12-14psi on the RB20 motor. On the larger capacity 3L it will have to work harder to get the same boost pressures, therefore 8-10psi might be consider the safe limit, on the bigger motor. If there is an emergency, you might bolt one on, but other than that they are too small, they are too small for the RB20 really, run out of puff at around 5500rpm on a 2 litre. Mick
