Just a couple of quick questions for those of you in the know about mx7's.... 1. Are the shifters the same as the MF5? my mx7 has a much bigger nylon bush on the bottom and the shifter itself doesnt have a thread on it, but it doesnt appare to be cut at all. 2. Can you fill them up from the shifter (again, like the MF5)? I know thats not the way thats in the book but its saved me heaps of time in the past. My mx7 will just fill up the extension housing and sloooowly drain into the main area if i fill it up from here.. no biggie (just do it from the fill plug at the side with a hose) but i cant help but wonder if in the past the box has been opened, and some silastic or something is restricting oil flow! thanks Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i tried that once and it didnt work.possibly due to an air lock.undo the filler plug and see if that helps. preferrably just run a big hose up int the engine bay to a funnel and fill it like you would an auto

thanks guys, i realise that the mx7 doesnt like being filled from the extension housing, thats cool. might have to get a pic of the shifter but what experiences have people had with them? i've heard that they are the same as the MF5 from some people and others say they are different. maybe just the nylon bushes are different?
