Yep.. unscrew the old one, put the new one on - the gasket usually holds up pretty well on the rocker covers - worst case scenario you may need a new gasket, but highly unlikely.

man make sure you dont tighten the screws back in to much and snap them use a tourqe wrech if ya can or just dont fully tighten it full hard.

you'll have to unbolt the little bracket on the side which holds the cruise control/ accelerator cables and also remove the pipe going accross the top of the rocker cover (if you have a cooler its way easier IMO hehe). Take out the spark plug leads too i reakon, less ****ing around and chance of scratching the cover then. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

its this massive rubber thing which seals the rocker cover to the head - but honestly unless it's totally rooted (like falling apart in your hands) then it'll be cool. If you have noticed any oil leaking around where it seals then it might be time for a new one.

ok wtf i got off my ass today to finally do it, and noticed on the inside of the rocker cover there is little dots of rust on that metal thing that is screwed down on the inside, if u know what im talkin about? would it still be ok u rekon?>

u sure it is rust , as it comes from factory with a sikaflex type glue/sealer which covers the little screws which hold the baffle plate inside the cover. you dont want those tiny screws falling out and running around in the rocker assembly or going down a gallery etc.
