Hey guys, I'm going to be putting a R31 S3 Electronic transmission behind my engine shortly and I was wondering if any of you guys are currently running such a combo? I've been lead to believe that this trans is the same as in an R33 GTS-t auto. I'll also be getting the transmission ECU from the R31 and hopefully this plugs straight in. I haven't had a proper look yet at the trans but I'm hoping that it has the same or similar dimensions as my current hydraulic Jatco, so that I don't need to buy or fabricate a new crossmember or tailshaft. Any help, or suggestions would be appreciated, thanks guys.

Your transmission is a JATCO RE4R01A. It is generally bigger all round than the 4N71B JATCO (early) but utilizes the same tailshaft yoke and I believe is the same length. The GTS-T uses the same tansmission with some mods to accomondate the front Drive Shaft.

hmmm maybe its just me, but s3 electronic boxes out of r31's are normally fcked, and blow within a week or 2 of having a turbo behind them a hard shift/chirp from 1st to 2nd is the classical sign of a worn/dying box
