Have any of you had to rebuild your engine or know of anyone who has experience with tuning and rebuilding VL Turbos in Auckland / New Zealand. Cheers Kris

i think the best bet would be advanced imports as they have extensive nissan experience and have done 3 litre turbos before silverfield place, glenfield ph 444 8866

The reserve is $5000, my calais wasn't an original turbo. It's a genuine reason for selling, I'm going to replace it with another one, but probably a bit more serious, forged pistons etc. But if I have no luck selling this one, I will probably just keep it and rebuild it. Just thought I'd advertise it to get some cash, as I'm pulling the car off the road to panel, paint, kit etc. it will be easier to sell this engine while its driveable. R.I.P.S sells these engines minus turbo, injectors, ecu, tuning etc, for $3500 + gst, so I figure $5000 isnt too bad for a complete, running motor. Cheers.

Had a qoute to rebuild my engine for $5000.00 with forgies from Glendowie Engine Rebuilders and want to get a price from RIPS and Marsh motor sport before I decide. Since my car is factory Turbo would be better to have matching numbers on engine with the car. These VL are starting to get really popular as a car here now and people are doing alot of conversions on them. I am wanting between 300-400 kw at the wheels. so need big turbo and fuel system so the build begins

the only person I would reccomend in NZ would be Brent - AKA NZ VL - HSVSUX

pm him mate. he built his own engines and for his mates too - and they cop a hiding on the track hes the only person i would trust. hell if i ever needed one and im in australia id still get him to do it
