heya guys just thort id like to share with you some pics of my new paint job i did the bodywork which is why its a bit average and Calmack Smash repairs in mandurah did the paint work which i am very impressed with! there are still a few things i need to do like hunt around for the calais front and i need to fix the calais taillight trim - but its a work in progress i guess! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Did you use filler to smooth the door moulds out? It looks different. Looks nice.

yeah i used fibreglass to fill the 3 fins along the side of the car the colour is casino blue and is a factory colour - just looks a lot nicer when its new and glossy shame it wasnt a sunny day coz it would have looked a lot better. ill take some more pics on a sunnier day and hopefully the camera will pic it up better. looks nice , i was going to do that with my door molds ,but then never got around to it

honestly, i think it was a bit more trouble than it was worth... took me a long long long time filling it in and then sanding it back and then filling in airpockets and depressions and then sanding back and repeating the process for each panel! it was a good thing i bought an orbital sander otherwise i would still be at it! but it does look different and that what i wanted - a vl which was a bit different :-)
