hey all, just wondering if anybody knows whether or not the new vz v6 engine is going to come out with a supercharged version? and if yes, what power will it make?? and also, has the gen3 gone up in power in the new vz ss?

I'd say holden would be making a Supercharged V6, dunno about power figures though. As for the VZ SS V8 I thought they were making a GEN4 6.0L Engine for it? Well, thats what I've heard around the place... Dunno if its true though.

The next 8 is coming out with the VE's. Don't know about supercharged, I'd assume so, the only two power figures I have seen were for stock - and one of them was for a new sv6 model or something. Can't remember why it had more power, I think it was variable exh and inlet timing, instead of just inlet/ or exhaust, one or the other.

This is fact, coz i work there!!(HOLDENS) there will be NO supercharged V6.Gen III VZ SS now has 250kw.The GEN 4 6.0ltr will be available in the HSV models only with 295kw.There is talk a GTS with 350kw, but like i said thats talk.(HSV VZ,WL models that is ONLY) Holden will have the GEN 4 6ltr in the VE, which is in about 18 months. An Engineer there has spoken about a 4.0ltr twin turbo V6 model in the series 2 VE Commodore.Whether its true, i dont know, but if it is, LOOK OUT. Hope that has cleared a few things up!!

There is a twin turbo HFV6 being developed for up and coming Alfa Romeo models- Hopefully it will find its way under the hood of a commodore!

i read in im not sure i THINK it was wheels, that the 190kw v6 is already make more power than the old supercharged v6 so theres not going to be a supercharged v6, and that they wont be making a turbo, coz it wont be good for the v8 sales, and hadnt even started developing a setup, so if they where even going to it wont be for sometime.

Well even if they didn't make a twin turbo motor locally, surelly the aftermarket would take advantage and look at alfa's factory motors. Maybe even import alfa parts. Heres hoping anyway. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
