i ran a button from daiken with 250rwkw and killed it first run. if you look at the jap cars, skylines and such with big hp you will see nobody bothers with button clutches. they all go for a twin plate. when i had my clutch failure i rang everywhere trying to find a button that was gonna be good for 300rwkw and guess what? there aint one. nobody would guarantee a single plate clutch for that sort of power.the clamp load you would need to put that sort of power to the ground would be incredible and would make the clutch very hard to use to say the least. i bit the bullet and got a twin plate.it was the best move i could have made.it is light on the pedal and puts down the power with no dramas at all.my car is more drivable with the twin plate than it ever was with a button clutch. no offence to anybody but i really cant see a single plate holding 650hp.
