Im having problems with opening my bonnet. The lever is conected but doesnt seem to be working. There is force on the lever it self so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

this is a common problem with commodores, either the pin on the bonnet is out of line or loose, the spring catch in the radiator support is worn ($2-3 new from holden) or the cable isn't adjusted correctly (adjust at clamp on rad support panel, be careful the screw strips easily) check those three first if it's not that check the pull handke for breaks and the cable for fraying or streching. push down on the front of the bonnet while someone else holds the release handle this usually opens them.

hey my bro had some troubles with the bonet on his skyline so i dunno if it could happen to u but if u can take the front guard off or get in close to the lever u might find that a little rock has flicked up into the bit where the bonet gets relased

you may also want to try putting some grease in where the barrel goes (you know the bit with the spring wrapped around it). i know it sounds silly but it cured my problem. hope it helps.
