has anyone fitted a whiteline front sway bar to their vl, for some reason i am having problems with the control arm to sway bar link, it seems that the bolt on the bottom eyelet hits the strut, have i stuffed something up or is this common

Shouldn't be a problem. Does it match your old swaybar? Maybe they sent you the wrong one(it does happen). If this is not the case you must have installed something incorrectly. I don't think I completely understand what you mean could you give a more detailed explaination or post a pic.

ok i have some pics now this is where the bolt is hitting the strut(lower bolt) its the drivers side that is hitting but the passender side is very close to this is a side view of the drivers side now i noticed that the bush hasen't been put on directly in the middle ot the control arm could this be the problem this is the front now these are pics of the passenger side which doesn't seem to hit Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

i took a pic of mine on the ground... it does go on a bit of an angle when you raise the car, but i've never taken enough notice to say if it will hit.

could be that your strut is bent ? taken my vl to pedders tomorrow, could also mean your front end has been in a hit of some kind and pushed it back, gutter etc.

Once you lower the car onto it's wheels it will be ok.

check if it gains more clearance at ride height by getting your jack under the control arm and compress the strut until it just lifts off the stand. do yourself a favor and set it to max also, this will make the bar work better and give you more clearance.

Are you running factory rear bar? Max tension adjustment on the swaybar, ie setup using bolt hole closest to front of the car. Listen to HSVSUX, yes it will be great on the street. It will give more clearance from the strut. The softest setting you have in the pic is a waste of time. You would most likely need a bigger bar again for track use. PS very smick job looks very professional painted up and clean

both front and rear bars make a noticable improvement when put on the 'hardest' setting.... particularly the rear bar Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

bolt the bushes on the other side of those brackets, if possible.
