You can check out the VZ here at holden.com.au (http://www.holden.com.au/www-holden/action/vehicleentry?vehicleid=4) now.. Lookin pretty good, at least the executive looks tougher now. SS is mad too, and calais, I love VZ come to think of it. New V6 is awesome, paddle shift on the 5 speed auto!

those side grills are the biggest wank factor ever they're too small and out of proportion with the car it's still BA for me atm

im starting to like the new SS, and yeah i think the V6 will shake a few things up a bit apparently there no good to turbo or supercharge? cant remember what it was about them though.

[shrug] I dunno, I don't really like the look. And something like "twin cam 4 litre intercooled straight six, GT40 turbo" does more for me than "quad cam V6." I'd still rather a BA.

BA is heavier. They better do something with this engine, gotta eat those XR6T without V8 somehow..

i read somewhere.. er.. on fordforums, someone posted an interview with John Crennan who said he had no future ideas to use the v6 for a hsv car, and actually bagged out the fords use of their 6. Personally, I think its jealousy. You can't really knock back an XR6 turbo, and if you do, well, I'll reserve my comments Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

well "stock" vz is actually 175kW, going into the exec, acclaim, and berlina. only the calais and above get the 190kW engine so really not a good comparison

Berlina is 190kw isnt it.. doesn't matter I think XR6T are awesome, just not a comparison to the 190kw, being NA vs Force fed. I just didn't think Holden would give up the fight so easily..

To be honest I like the old fords/holdens rather than the new ones. Besides I will only EVER buy a VL or a Skyline as simple as that.

I work at Holdens, and the VZ HSV range has the new GEN 4 engine.Boasting 6.0ltrs and 295kw,GTS around 350kw when its out. Yes, i know they are V8's, and we're talking about sixes on here, but just thought i'd share the info with yez. A good comparison will be the new VZ SV6, 190kw,6spd manual, not sure on weight, but less than the BA, compared to the NA BA XR6 182kw Ford. No word on a twin turbo V6, but they haven't ruled it out so i'm told. PSI.

I thought only the XR6 NA got 182kw, could be wrong though. Either way, the HOLDEN is lighter, so should be good to see!! PSI.

the xr6t has 180 at the wheels, theres a difference there, it kills 190 flywheel easy and i'de also rather buy a nu ba than a vz but then again vls r still on the top of my list, you get your money's worth buying a vl

yeah, we know that XR6T are faster than the 190kw VZ, its a simple math. but N/A BA vs N/A VZ will be interesting, VZ should eat it
