now i got a dyno yune done on my car a few weeks ago by rigoli i got it all going and set on 10 psi cause he said if the turbo is standard T3 off a RB20 then he wouldnt recomend running any more then 10 psi so i left it at that. now i was reading about these turbos and i read that they are to small for a RB30/25DET so i thought about getting it hi flowed or a T04 blade put in it. then i read a Article in Zoom magazine a couple of months back about Compressor surge now this is that noise every 1 calls Intercooler noise or wastegate noise u guys would know how it sounds sounds cool as but really it happens wen the turbo is to big for and engine or cannot suck in the air that it is pushing. now i though this through and wen i got the car it was running 6 psi and this noise was happening now if this is a T3 from a RB20 which is to small for my RB30/25DET it should have no compressor surge at all right??? and also wen i had my KE TX3 Laser Turbo i got the turbo hi flowed and as soon as i did that i got that compressor surge sound. so im thinking maybe my turbo isnt standard wat do you guys think and how can i check it out with out taking it apart or costing stacks im making full 10 psi by like 2500 rpm aswell.

compressor surge is not the same as the so called 'intercooler noise'. Do a search on this site to find out exactly what causes compressor surge

Do you have a blow off valve? Its my understanding that turbo "flutter" is caused by all the air that has already been compressed going back through the turbo and out your air filter when the throttle is snaped shut. Is this correct? and is this the noise you are talking about?

my friend you are correct. i hear people say that noise is made from all types of rediculous scenarios, like the wastegate flapping. haha
