the N/A diff is 25 spline isnt it?
so does the spline just include the gears in the middle of the diff? or the axels aswell?

axles as well. they are thinner and weaker too.

it can be a big toss up pay lots for 28's that may break or pay nothing or 25's that will eventually break.
so what rear end set up out there is unbreakable?

31 spline 9 inches are pretty darn strong. some top fuellers can still strip 31 spline billet axles though. unless you're running 6 second 1/4 miles 31 spline billet axles are pretty much fine.

so what can a N/A diff handle power wise?

stocky, fuelers use more that 31 spline axles. there are 35 and 40 spline axles available for 9" diffs.

hence why some of them strip the 31 spline jobs....

08-08-04, 10:46 GMT+10#12 I snapped an axle on my n/a calais with the minispool in it (think stock output from n/a). Doing nuts in the wet - pulled into servo and filled up. came out of the servo and BANG - there goes an axle.
I suppose it really depends how you treat them. rippin skids and launching hard will take its toll on the weaker parts - but putting round and giving it some progressivly and you mey never see a broken part at all.
