Im getting a heavy sorta shuddering/vibration at around 80kph, it seems to stop at about 110kph. The obvious thing would be the tailshaft but i only put it back in last week from being fully reconditioned (new CV and uni's + balance, centre bearing was fine). Im gunna drop the tailshaft out on sunday and take it back to em next week to check balance anyway, but has anyone else had this problem and found it to be something else? rear wheel balance??

do you find it's allright at 100 and when you slow down to around 80 you get a shudder? If so pretty much definate it's your lock up converter....

manual... it does it while accerlerating, crusing and decelerating at ranges 85-110kph, probably most noticable at around 95kph

before you check the balance just try changing the way the shaft is lined up with the diff yoke. i have seem drivelines vibrate from a tailshaft that was 180 deg out from the diff.

try putting in spacers or taking out spacers where the centre bearing bolts to the car. if its got some, take them out, if they arent there, get some and see if it makes a difference. this should affect the angle to the diff as described above. also how are the mounts for the trans?

mount for the trans is fine, almost new not deterioated. Ill check the angle from centre bearing and try spacing it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
