ey boyz is there a program or some thing on the computer or internet u can cheak to see what plates r taken in victoria ? or can u only ring up vic roads ?

In Vic you have to ring them up, but in other states I believe you can check over the net - go figure!!!

Yep, that's correct. You can only check by ringing up VicRoads. Best thing to do is write down your list (I had a list of 30+ plates), and then go into VicRoads and get the person sitting behind the counter to type them all in and tell you which one's are available. They might not like doing it, but they have to cuz it's their job, and you can't find out any other way, hey.

Yeah i did the same thing as i thought for sure the one i wanted would be taken.. i had a list of 20ish.. ended up being a waste of time as i got my first preference.. But yeah they go through them with you and tell you whats available or not.
