Hi guys n girls, my neighbours fuel was siphoned early yesterday morning from their VR/VS commodore. Im pretty sure the caps on them are locked. Whereas VL's dont(well mine doesnt anyway), so what have you done to prevent this from happening to you? Anyone got lockable caps and ifso where from? Brian

My VL used to have a lock up fuel cap, But when I brought it, it had a hole through the cap and a bolt in it, Apparently the guy I got it from lived in sydney, and when he parked out the frount of his house, people kept taking his fuel.. so he got the lock up one,.. but the next day not old had they taken the lock cap off and taken his fuel, they allso did a few hundred $$ worth of damage to the paint and the threading to the cap hole taking it off, so he drilled the hole though the lock and stuck a bolt though it, so if they took the fuel they would not dammage the car... he allso stoped parking out the frount with a full tank, and would fill up on his way out, instead of on his way home. so you have to weigh up the pros and cons, with Fuel costing $1.15 a ltr, is it cheaper to have it locked or not? locks only keep honerst people out. and will stop the traveling "Woops I ran out of fuel" people, but wont stop the hard core Petrol sniffing carry a hose instead of a wallet people...
