hey fellas im buyin a vlt auto g/box from a guy off this site.. he said it needs a service coz it hasnt been in a car for awile... wats a service include?? can i do it or should i get it done at a g/box place?? cheers...
do it yourself! do a search i know i posted heaps of details on how to do it yourself. just need some sockets and a torque wrench. it's particularly easy if the gearbox is out of the car!
but yes it would cost about $150 for some fat truckie mechanic to take off the 12-odd sump bolts and torque the 2 bands (5 minutes work) then put them back in (maybe with a new filter if you're lucky) and fill it with fluid.
jesus man you should see the job this one fat truckie did on my exhaust (he was the real deal too, had a beard and was a big fat b@stard) it's the worst exhaust job i have ever seen, that will be the last time i go back there. soon to be replaced with a 3 inch by a reputable exhaust company.....
