im stumped...when i reverse and turn sharply while reversing there is a loud clunk from the rear of the car...only 1 clunk noise sometimes it happens when i just turn...usually more often when i turn sharply...just wondering if it could be the rubbers in the vl rear end...they are all as old as **** due to the fact they are still the factory ones...im stumped to which one to replace...and if that is the problem at all
i dont wanna go replacing all the rubbers fix the suspension the whole lot (u all kno how much that can cost) and then find out the problem is still occurring...
any help would be appreciated
Cheers
i've had them checked...they r perished n like i said old as hell...i know i have 2 replace them but i dont wanna go replacing the whole lot.
the clunk only happens when turning sharply when reversing, goin over big bumps, and sometimes turnin while in drive sharply.
i doubt it would b the diff coz it would happen all the time...it only happens some times.
i'll replace the uni's n see what happens i hope 2 christ afta spendin the cash it fixes it...coz atm i cant afford 2 replace the whole lot
Cheers
nahh i checked that and i've also replaced the exhaust since which has different clips that holds it in...so yeah checked that one pretty good thanks anyway

i would replace ur UNIs if there ****ed. as there going to cause problems anyways. and if ur lucky this will be ur problem. dont be tight. UNIs are cheap. grease up ur tailshaft while ur at it.
sorry i dun wanna seem cheap but i live by myself n earn $190 a week...i do full time study also...do the math when renting is $135 a week by itself...then food n petrol n...etc
as far as i kno i checked the results from the wheel alignment and it showed that the whole rear end rubbers were perished...and also my passenger side suspension housing is a lil bent the closest they could get was 2.sumtin between the +ve n -ve
Cheers fellas just lookin for the quick fix without bn too cheap and runnin the vl right into the ground...
unfortunately money talks n bull**** walks...
definantly get uni's done asap, itd be a good idea to get the rear suspension bushes done too, it ends up dangerous on the highway cuz u start getting rear steering
