Hmm my mate had one in his VL after throwing in an R33 GTST manual box.
Didn't run into any issue with it what so ever. A tailshaft loop was placed also used,
A mate had one put on his SL/E and he said he could "really feel the power difference"???
I looked at getting one done for my old car but heard that it was illegal so I didn't bother.

Power Difference!!! I don't get it! Like unless the uni joints on his two piece drive shaft were just about glued together how would he notice a power difference? Providing that the uni and cv. joints a tight and the bearings are good on the two piece diff it would work exactly the same as a like any power difference of a pooftenth possibly from weight and balance. The only difference of in using a single piece drive shaft is that they are not as like to break and therefor **** your car, but the twin piece shaft has proven itself!
my 88 exec come with a one peice tail shaft and i had no problems at all with it.. but yeah i guess it got changed for some reason which i have no clue about..
LOL what a tripper hehe
Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Nath, was the car lowered at all?

Paul: when i first got it the car was not lowered at all it was lowered within afew weeks on FE2 all around with lowered shocks in the ass end!!
i dont seem to have any problems at all with it now that it is lowered to me it seems just as fine as the day i got the car. I also changed the diff over about 8 months ago and the tail shaft still seems fine to me i have not driven the car for about almost 2 months now as its getting afew little things done to it

i have one in my 5spd, it used to hit occassionally on the floor pan where the CB should be, but after i put the factory spacers on the x-member it has NEVER hit, and my car is lowered.
if you dont mind me asking, why? there's nothing at all wrong with the two-piece factory shaft, not to mention the expense of fitting a single piece. the single jobby would put more stress on the output shaft than a two-piece as well. i don't see the use of it, or am i missing something???

Im getting a single piece with my auto. I was told it was a very good idea to get one with a transbrake that im getting. I didnt like the chance that the two piece would snap and rip the back of the box out. Its gonna cost $500, is that right?
My mate has a single peice tailshaft in a vlt the cars so low that whens he hits a bump sparks fly out every where haha funny but shocking. Wouldnt recommend it with a decent lowered car they sit too low no use for it in a vl when they come put with a 2 peice going over the diff outta harms way.
I got a tranbrake getting a tailshaft same as PSI03L from the same joint for $600. He said when they did his it cost him a fair bit more coz they had to start from scatch building his plus and I wont have as much power as he did so should be fine.
