Very nice burnout. I haven't seen this car in the flesh but I thought it would be a lot rumblyier though. Maybe it was just the recording. Still - it was pretty good how he blows 2nd tyre JUST before he goes over the finish line. I dunno what the commentator was on about cuz he said, "perfect control" buy Gary Meyers was like just going in a straight line?! Didn't do too much circle work either compared to a lot of other ppl as that brings in the points. But then again - he didn't have to. Check it out... http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/conte...oads/02mpg.wmv (http://carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/content/streetmachine/downloads/02mpg.wmv) - Dave

I luv it!!. the amount of smoke was just crazy, especially after he just come off the line. Yeah i didnt think he was gonna blow the other tyre, but when he did it looked classy as to finish it off to have it blow and the car sideways Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Not really. Myers whole point is to rip it up. The top fuelers basically dab it and their spinning just to warm the tyres whcih are absolutely massive. Top fuelers i have seen wheelspin the whole 1/4 no problems at all with huge amounts of smoke. if the funny cars and top fuelers were more manuvarable and they were setting out to blow the tyres they would do much better. However we won't see it as i can't see a top fueler doing doeghies somehow. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I still don't think Garys new Stang looks good in that colour, should have been done in something more outrageous, the silver does'nt do it justice. Gotta love Garys burnouts though. Of course the stangs are set up to break traction I think he ran the black one at Heathcote and only pulled a 12 the rest was wheel spinning. It's been built up as a dedicated smoke machine, with show looks. That Grays Black Camaro is the roughest car I have seen yet it gets so much publicity. Just recently got a proper respray courtesy of Stylerod panels who I bet did it for nothing. Same with the Momo seats from Autotek.

Basically Debbie Gray's husband who built the car took it down to StyleRod and said "If you respray my car, I'll let you put your sticker on it". So with a free paint job, StyleRod gets all the publicity. Because of that sticker the first time I saw the Camaro I thought it had been built by StyleRod.... For anyone who's seen StyleRod it wouldn't suprise you if someone told you the Camaro was built there.

In my honest opinion that burnout was sh!t at the summernats... I was there, it seems Gary Myers just seems to be given it every year, as someone pointed out there was **** all circle work and it was quite boring to watch. I have been going to summernats every year since 1995 and that was the worst winner I have ever seen. The clear winner in mine and everyone else that I spoke toos eyes was Matty Abood in 57 Chev Belair. I have never ever seen a better burnout. That chev is massive and he was throwing it round like it was a little datto. Unbelievable. Funniest bloke ever as well when he rocked up to a previous summernats with a sticker on his back window saying " Who is Gary Myers " Anyone have the Vid of matty's rip so you guys can see what Im talking about?
