This is my VL series 2 Calais which i bought sporting just 49'000kms on the clock, the car came with series 2 grey veliour, FE2 suspension, cat back 2.5" exhaust, 15" VS ute rims and a 5L V8. Since owning the car it's spat 2 supra 5-speed gearboxes (cheers 'insert workshops name here' for wasting a **** load of my money) and also after few minor tweeks to the old motor -cam/springs/carby etc- thats moved on aswell. The rims are 17" modular fives with 235 rubber & O.B.X. racing seats have been fitted. The car previously had a full Pioneer/Alpine & MB quarts sound system but since thats been flogged I've seen no need to replace as it'll probably be stolen again. The original FE2 suspension has been swapped for Whiteline progressive rate super low springs and KYB short travel heavy duty shocks along with Whiteline larger swaybars with nolathane links, an adjustable Whiteline panhard rod, K-mac caster/camber kit, new pedders steering rack with oil cooler, a Whiteline strut brace & assorted nolathane bushes here & there. These days the car sports a VT GTS series 1 220i injected 5.7L stroker crate motor from HSV bolted up to a walky 5-speed cog swapper with a yella terra 7kg steel fly-wheel & clutch factory custom clutch through to a shortened & balanced VL V8 tail-shaft to the 3.73 equiped LSD diff. The exhaust starts with Pacemakers competition headers (the 1 & 3/4 ones) to a twin cat 2.5" system into a 3.5" single pipe over the diff with 2 custom mufflers. So far no quarter mile runs have been done yet but I am confident it will do a mid 13 second pass. The car pulled 202rwkws on the street commodores dyno day here in Perth. As for future mods a change of colour would be on the top of the list with an aero kit & some 18 inch rims, plus the gearbox with be upgraded to a tremec ready to take on more power but after that... I dunno either a cam/manifold/head package or a low boost blower perhaps... post which you think. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

cheers guys yeah i just noticed i had no pics of the interior but it's all standard S2 grey calais veliour apart from the obx seats and a boss steering wheel. I also forgot to write its had the brakes replaced with VT twin-piston calipers & slotted 296mm rotors with PBR pads. hmm it seems nobody likes mud flaps here?
