Just wondering if anyone has purchased and had a cooler fitted by any of the performance shops in Melbourne (AVO and stuff). I'm just after pics, not of the intercooler itself, but the quality of the install, such as holes that needed to be made (for piping) etc. If you don't have pics, feedback would be fine, on here or pm me if need be. I'm a bit fussy with this kind of thing and am after a good quality install and I'm not capable of doing it myself. Thanks.

Don't let them cut the body for the piping... change the piping path so no metal has to be cut... I've seen intercooler piping done this way before. As for drilling holes to bolt up the intercooler... don't drill anything, just get them to make custom mounting brackets that will use bolts that are already there for the front apron... or something like that... whatever. I'm not sure, but I'm a perfectionist like you, I'd never cut or alter any part of the chassis/body unless it was absolutely necessary. It's your money, make them do what you want.

Yeah, it can get pretty ugly when you go cutting holes in metal. One of my most hated things is when people cut the rear parcel shelf for their 6x9's. God that shts me!!!

the avo piping needs one hole cut below the airbox. besides that its fine - the circular cut can be made to look nicely, vut i am with all you ppl, get it going another way so you dont need cuts in ya chassis
