are you going to just buy a VLT diff or going to get a 28 spline 4 pinion center and axles?? if your just buying a VLT diff then you will need the hand brake cable as well as the drum and disk ones are different.. you will need a 1 inch master also.. but if your just using the same housing as what your drums brakes then you need to get the seals for the disks as the drum ones are different and you need to also get the backing plates also... RJB-223 helped out a mate change over from drums to disk using the same housing etc give him a pm about it Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

A complete disk to disk rear end is easiest way to do the conversion. Are you going to be using N/A 25 spline 2 pinion LSD or the turbo 28 spline 4 pinion LSD? I think you need to change/modify hand brake cable. If your getting a complete diff its probably a good idea to get a recoed one, alot of second hand ones will probably be pretty worn! Removal and installation of a diff isn't overly difficult, its pretty much just disconnecting it from the drive shaft via the uni joint(mark it so it can be reinstalled in same position) at the back, disconnect brake line and cable, disconnect shocks, stabliser bar, panhard rod, upper control arms, lower control arms and springs(in that order). Your diff will be free. You will need a jack to raise and lower the diff during the removal proceedure. Installation is just revese of removal, its a good idea to have a mate or two to help you lift in and line up the diff for installation.

If you have a decent mechanic or mates in the automotive field just ask them there recommended diff place and get a quotes. I had mine done at transdiff when I brought the car about 2 years ago just coincidence http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showt...light=transdiff (http://www.calaisturbo.com.au/showthread.php?t=7428&highlight=transdiff) however they have a good name for performance diffs. It cost me about $900-950 for a conversion from Single spinner 28 spline to tightned and fully recoed LSD centre(including Labour and removal/installation). So You would have to add on the cost of the 28 spline axels($500-$700 a pair). Brake rotors and clappers shouldn't be over $250.
