bmw has been using this kind of technology for years. i.e variable intake runner adjustment, ford(pure evil) has also incorpoated this design long ago. XR6 owners will be ****tin themselves when this eng hits the streets in the VZ Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I thought that all the new engines were gonna be 190kw. I wonder what the "normal" engine will have. And what happened to the turbo V6. How is holden supposed to compete with the XR6T.

When I was at Holden College I read that there would be 3 versions of the engine.. So it seems Holden has some trick up there sleeve, to be released closer to the actual VZ release. Turbo would be a bit of a clone.. so maybe they'll keep the Supercharge trend..

sidturbed: ford are already ****ting themselves coz they already have a engine 1 litre less then there fat cats to compete with and this was put out way back in 87 by holden. so yeh its jsut another day for ford hehehehehe.

Like I said, Official Holden Confidential Info (Don't dob me in ) says there is 3 versions.. I reckon its gonna be a suprise. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

When they said 3 versions i think they were talking about the 2.8, 3.2 and 3.6 litre versions. There is a twin turbo version for Alfa Romeo, however it is unlikely we will see it in the Commodore until the 2006 VE.
