What BS, does anyone know where to get non genuine ones cheap as? because im gettin pov KM/tank and I want to test if its really my oxygen sensor, I was about to try that lemon and 12v trick, but id rather a new one! thx Rob

do you really wanna spend 100bucks plus on a new one? that or just go to the wreakers and score yourself one (five finger discount) if its rooted - oh well at least you didnt pay for it? that or do the right thing is you like to keep your morals - you got a bersons in WA? they tend to be cheap on certain things. cheers, Daz

Dazza102 - haha na I dont really have morals but since the car is 16 years old, I thought if I 'aquired' one from a wreck, it may be stuffed too, so thats why im gunna buy brand new. Just ring your local holden dealer and get one from there. Turbo and non turbo ones are the same. You can check a o2 sensor operation with an ocilloscope, but if you dont know what your looking at it wont mean anything. A worn/old sensor tends to be a bit lazy in the way it cycles between lean and rich in relation to engine rpm and load.

Well, I have replaced my leads, plugs, fuel filter, plugs, injector cleaner, re calibrated my AFM to 382 ohms, and im gunna buy the o2 sensor this weekend as well as the temp sensor in the quest for better fuel economy, im seriously gettin 320km to a full tank (above full to the empty line) So hopefully I would be able to get way more KM outta my tank. As far as cleaning the O2 sensor, I read that you can put it inside a lemon and run 12v through it, or alternatively sit the sensor in lemon juice- Rob

i got a MT8 in my VLT and my O2 sensor is only 1 wire. i noticed on my NA VL that its like 3 or 4 coloured wires.

The GM O2 sensor is the NTK brand. Just go to your local parts shop and buy the NTK one, mine was $120
