I was visiting a friend today and we decided to go out in the evening for a few beers. Anyway, we arrive at our destination, the local club, and as I'm getting out of the car he reaches behind his seat and pulls out this MASSIVE chain. By MASSIVE... I mean, this thing was ****ing huge... the links on it must have been made from one inch steel. So, I'm sitting there, confused yet very intrigued, watching him wrap this bloody massive chain around everything... and I do mean EVERYTHING... steering wheel, brake, accelerator, clutch, gear stick... then he tells me to get out so he can wrap it through the passenger side arm-rest! After he's done doing that, he opens up the glovebox and pulls out three gigantic padlocks just to be sure... you know... as if a massive 500KG chain isn't enough to deter any would-be thieves. By the time he was finished I was left standing beside the car looking through the tint at this massive steel cobweb that somehow managed to stretch from the back-parcel shelf to the steering wheel, then down to the brakes and ****, then back up to the shifter, across to the passenger door, then around the passenger seat and back to the rear parcel shelf again. Just thought some of you might find this interesting... after today, I'm starting to think all other anti-theft devices are obselete. Ironically, he stole the chain and padlocks from his workplace.

Sounds like to much hard work for me.. but if you can be fcked well then yeah its better than nothing.. ive seen a fair few people put chains that go down around the back of the Pedals and then come up around the steering wheel where there locked so you cant turn the wheel or push the pedals.. i seen the same sorta thing done with a clublock from the wheel to behind the accelerator.
