I'm surprised more car thefts have'nt taken off this way I mean it's easier to get the car undamaged complete with key. And if your that desperate for the car the theive will be armed with a weapon or most likely have back up support in case it goes wrong. Actually there was a case not too long ago in Melb with people fitting middle eastern appearance car jacking owners of WRX's. I think it was South Africa with the worst car jackings followed by mexico. So it's bound to take off soon in Australia. The motto is when in your car keep all doors locked regardless. But I don't think VL's are going to be that desperate more high end luxury cars, that earn crime gangs more money. Face it why waste your time jacking someone for a $10,000 calais turbo?.

Red RB30 JET is right professional thief's target New/High end cars as there is a lot of money in it, I remember reading royal auto mag about it, they steal them, restamp/plate them and sell them off into another state, like they advertise it and organise to meet at say a shopping center etc to sell the car, then when the owner realises the car was a stolen vehicle its too late no return address etc.... But the common car thief only goes for easy to break into cars eg pre 1990 cars as most are easy to break into Here is a tip when you see a thing on the back of your window stop the car and pull out the abortion bat and start swinging petros style Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

I would guarantee that this is yet another urban myth, how does it "look real"? Can people please actually check these things out themselves before being gullible enough to post them or forward them onto others? And no just replying " well it could happen so this might save someone" is simply BS as we could all come up with a story that might theoretically do the same. Lets live in the real world not create unjustified fear

I hate baseless fearmongering like this. I've never heard of anyone being carjacked around here. If you're really worried about it, take Jazza_20's lead and own a car no-one in their right mind would want to steal. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Wouldn't you, umm notice a huge piece of paper stuck to the back of your car before you got in? I'd just drive off with it anyway, can't be arsed getting back out of the car. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

MMM...I wouldn't completely count it out... That reminds me of a story form a 2-3 years ago - which actually did happen to one of my colleauges at work. A guy was pulling up all single woman and telling them that they had benn done enough over the speed limit to lose their licence etc. Eventually ppl started going to the cops including my colleauge and no records of any fines - it was in the paper n all (happened in reservoir Vic) Ps moral of the story, don't underestimate these fcukheads.

i know of 2 people who have been carjacked... 1. pullled up at a set of lights and they opened the drivers door.. quickly the driver shut the door and locked it, and beeped the horn to bring attention to herself and the carjacker.. 2. mate was driving along and two (don't mean to be racist) lebonise dudes jumped into his car held a knife to his throat and got away with his phone and wallet.. couldnt see why this wouldn't happen... but good warning!

There was a story on today tonight of 2 kids roaming around major traffic light interscetions. They had 2 pushies, one kid would be sitting on his bike and holding the other bike whilst the other kid casually walked past a car (mainly with a female driver) opened the passenger and grabbed the handbag on the passenger seat. Then he bolts jumps onto the bike and there off and the car is stuck in the traffic and cant do anything or go anywhere They had survelance footage of this. People try anything these days thats y they reccomend u drive with the dorrs locked

I heard about guys in busy shopping centre car parks. where there is only 1 spot available, they'll put a trolley in the middle of it, when you get out to move it, they get your car.. easy as ****.

I always drive with the doors locked and I'm well aware of what's around me when I step out of my car. If I ever have an altercation and I get out, I've always got the clublock with me. Might sound harsh, but it pays off Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
