There are many rebuilders out there who can supply a quality powerglide. While all may claim there's is better than the others, the truth is they will use the same parts. How much HP is your car gunna/does make.

LOL Petros, do you own shares or something in Keas?? hehe VLRB20DET You would want to making a fair bit of power to get the use out of the glide, it's gonna wreck your car for general cruising due to the lack of ratios.

hehe nah no shares. but to me he has been the only bloke whos a man of his word in the car / transmission industry. he tells you everything straight, goes out of his way to help you, great pricing and has it there and then when its promised. to me,thats a real business man. not someone who hides behind a name

LOL It is good to see you standing behind, and promoting a business that has done the right thing by you! Far to much negative crap getting around nowadays, need more good stuff like this!! I have been slack and haven't called him yet, but I will!!! LOL.

yeah well im not investing any more cash into my rb20 calais thing as I can make more power from a RB30ET anyday, id go and see KEAS but he dont deal in powerglides, anyone got Hugo's race glides? Yeah I know the drivability of the thing on the street wont be there but it will mainly be a strip car and the odd bit of local cruising.

I (keas) do actually build powerglides but only when the hp level or customer demands it. Initially I didn't want to rebuild transmissions however the market place has dictated that I build. So I have restructured to do so. The powerglide is the ultimate in 2 speeds however demands a broad torque curve in order to get the best out of it.

along with Petros, I support Paul (KEAS), he shifted my Trimatic and it hasn't missed a beat, he's a great guy, honest and doesn't mind you watching him work - how many guys let u do that????

just a note with a powerglide, you need **** loads of torque and power to make them work. even my car with 4.11s is a dog and thats with a 308 and about 350 hp. but on the gas (another 150) its a great box! i've been told and agree with,if you have under 400 odd horses go for a racematic.

i had a 2 speed installed in my street calais with a 5200rpm converter, the car weighed 1397kg street trim and drove it as a daily car and drove it down the coast for long weekends(280klm),yeah it might be loud when your doing 100klm on the highway at a rev range of 4000rpm but remembering the car ran 10's and it never missed a beat id say go the glide....good day
