i'll sell you a copy much cheaper than that! (currently $43) it will solder into an RB30E VL ECU and run the turbo code and maps. but you're missing the knock sensor board so it wont recognoise pinging/detonation it will work but only on a VL ECU not an R31 ECU (Delco modified VLT software aint compatible with the fuel pump circuitry in the R31 ECU)

Thats shiit "VL TURBO CHIP -Never Used" bull crap, looks like somebody has desoldered this original and replaced it with a remapped one or something. Now this drongo is trying to sell this used std VLT chip, which might not even working due to desoldering process. Look at the two pics each chip looks different; one looks new with a red dot, and the other looks older with a yellow dot!!! I wouldn't pay more than 20 cents, dosen't add up enough for me.

the YELLOW dot means a manual chip (i think N/A). auto chips dont have a dot i think turbo is RED dot. yes i agree the guy has probably had his ecu rechipped and flogging the stock one off whilst it is possible during the desoldering process to overheat the ROM but personally I have never done that yet. it wouldn't work afterwards at all if you did. depends what kind of iron you are using, what temp and how long you held it on the pins. these aren't exactly the easiest things to desolder. i've lifted tracks in the process several times its worth about $12 cos thats what an blank EPROM is worth the code in the ROM uses the knock sensing board. obviously N/A ecus dont have this so there is no ECU protection from detonation
