Hey, just thought I'd ask anyone if they think it is possible to put the 4WD/HICAS and Torque Split thingy (forgot what its called) from a GTR Skyline into a VL?
The whole R32 Driveline and suspension can be fitted to a VL.
Its been done before and there was an article on it on the old calaisturbo site.
HICAS is powersteering for the rear for easier turning.
ATTESA is the 4wd torque split for GTRs. You need a 4wd to get this working obviously.

yeah it was a silver calais. i have the article in a mag somewhere. i could dig it up
There is also a white/silver calais in NSW with the conversion done, 700hp RB26 and 4WD, Hicas is disabled on this car, because it sucks. He was also talking about fitting the IRS rear end as well. Immaculate car.
Thanks for letting me know ppl, I thought it would be possible but wasn't %100 sure... How much do u think it would cost to set a VL up with the GTR components in it?
Well last time I checked the RB26DETT at somewhere like Adelaidejap was about $8000, so i would have a guess that a half cut with what you need would be around the $15,000 mark. Then there is fitting of it. Really depends on who you know. At as guess with the above prices taken into consideration, to do this conversion $20,000 plus! I have thought about this conversion too, but finding the money. Where did i leave that spare odd 20k+ sure it is somewhere around. Might look up my a*** and find it!!
what's wrong witht he hicas system? it seemed alright for the very brief drive i had in a car with it (apart from sidestepping every time you go over a bump).
