It depends on what you are doing. eg. If you are dragging you would have a completely different setup to street or track use. Tyres, suspension, boost controllers, etc. can all affect how much traction you get. In the wet I would say go easy with the right foot, because wet roads aren't the place to be testing out the limits of your 'traction'.

yeh i found that out the hard way. you dont need many factors to go wrong to lose it in the wet. Semi-bald tires, alot of rain and a puddle lost it for me.

Good quality tyres/suspesion and take it easy in the wet, then your next ride will stay on the road..

Good tyres, will help - better to spend a bit more on brand name ones than some yum-cha retreads. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

tyres are the best bang for your buck mod if you are talking real performance, ie corners

that happened about 2 years ago. i guess i didnt understand how dangerous the wet really was. There was no speed involved, just bad judgment of the corner and alot of inexperience to go with it. i learnt my lesson, as im sure 60% of people in this forum have. yeh it did piss me off bigtime..............but i learnt quickly and im glad i learnt then. But im sure many other people have been in the same situation, its not like im the forst person to write off a car.

Wet and Dry handling and traction are two different issues. Agree with platinum Reject shop brand tyres are fooked compared to good quality brandname tyres however are heaps more expensive.
