HOLY F**K that is harsh as man, the block is like 50 meters down the road ""Trees don't move. Metal, in the shape of a car, has no trouble reshaping itself around them at a speed of 150+."" Nasty!!!

"The Highway Patrol Police that chased this Monaro, had actually terminated themselves from the pursuit, due to it's dangerous manner of trying to avoid Police, moments before it attempted an overtaking manoeuvre onto the the wrong side of the road" Bull****.

I remember the news thing about that. From memory, it was a 15yr old kid or so, stole it from a dealership. And call me cold but quite frankly, he stole the car, he put the foot down, he ate shi.t, he had it coming. The only person I feel sorry for are his parents and the people who had to scrape him up. Who cares if the police were chasing him, I bloody hope they were, regardless of whether or not they terminated the pursuit the kid's still going to speed away anyways to get away from the area. Probably just as well he died anyways, if he's doing things like this at 15 who knows what greater things he'll grow into Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

That is a stupid comment. Would you rather the police just let them go and speed anyway? What would you say if the police called off the chase, let the guy go and then he slams into your parents car or girlfriend or you??? Police chases wouldn't happen if f*ckwits didn't steal cars etc anyway. You can't blame the police for doing their job.

Shocking pics, in a way that is a really good site. Everyone should look at all the pics and realise the cars are to be respected on the roads

Quote: You can't blame the police for doing their job. Yeah but then you need to realise they're really taking the piss out of us by saying they call off chases over certain speeds and ****... I see where you's are both coming from, but all I can say is, the cops should back off when **** like that is going on in my opinion. I was watching an episode of cops (take the piss out of me for this example if you really have to. yes i know american cops are a different kettle of fish) but they were chasing this kid in a 4wd through red light intersections and all sorts of stupid **** at crazy speeds... to cut a long story short, he went through one, cleaned up another motorist, criminal car theif lived, and the innocent driver died in the accident. Then the camera man ran over and filmed the dead guy... it was kind of disturbing. Are the police provoking this kind of thing happening by chasing kids through suburbia in stolen cars at excessive speed... I think so. That tree the monaro's wrapped around could well have been your girlfriend or your mum driving home or whatever...

i wasnt gonna post this, but just to give everyone a reality check on ****head cops in car chases... a few years ago some kids i knew where in a stolen car (i dont condone it but **** happens) and they were run off the road by police at 160 km/h into a tree and 3 of them were killed and one crippled. There were witnesses at the scene, and there was white paint scraped all over the back of the dark coloured car... now despite all this the reports in the news and the paper were that the police arrived at the scene 5 minutes after the car crash and that the kids had killed themselves. The rule with car chases are that if it is over 140 km/h the police officers must abort the chase. That is the law. The police in this instance broke the law and ended up killing 3 kids over a stolen car, and then lied about it to save their own skin. Simply saying something like "people shouldn't steal cars, easy" when this sort of thing goes on is bull****. I love cars as much as you do and I hate car thiefs with a passion but that doesnt mean im gonna condone police killing people over a friggin stolen car. Cars can be retrieved, insurance can be collected. You can't do that with someones life, especially one as young as 15-16. After going through that I will pretty much never respect a cop again. And to whoever said its lucky they were killed now cus who knows what theyll get up too later is screwed in the head... seriously...when i was younger i did plenty of things that im not proud of and could of ended up going down the path you described, but i didn't... I pulled my head in. These kids weren't even given that chance instead they were run off the ****in road by cops, who had an intention to run them off the road. I consider that murder, or on the lightest scale, manslaughter of a child. Weigh that up against auto theft and then choose your sides.

Very touchy subject, i can see both sides of the argument, but at the end of the day (or chase, as the case may be?!), there are good cops who go by the book, and crooked cops who go write their own book. I myself believe the cops dont really care too much about about safety, but more about raising revenue, believe it or not, the vic government has factored in the revenue raised from traffic offences etc, to it's budget. That proves that the cops must make at least $x , or the government will be up the sh*t with their budget. But on the other hand, if youre doing the wrong thing and get caught, live with it. Just my 2 cents worth, sorry to get all political on y'all...

One of my best mates was killed in a police chase, same thing cops said they were no where near it, but witnesses say he was chased all the way to the pole!

Theres smarter options - why bother chasing a car when you can at least block it in and use spike strips etc. Yes if its over a certain speed they should terminate, but really a cop is under pressure, whats gonna happen to him if he backs off, and the stolen car doesn't.. That car takes out an innocent driver/ family.. And the cop has to live with going why didn't I try. Seriously I'd rather guilty people died rather then the Innocent ones. And Series2VL, they have a chance to pull their heads in every second of the day. Theres nothing making them be crims constantly. Theres always a way out.

I think you fail to realise that car thiefs dont drive around at 160 km/h the whole time. The only time they drive like that on a busy road is if a ****in cops is right up their ass! The kids i spoke about earlier stole cars to get from a-b. They didnt take **** out or torch them etc... they drove it to where they needed to go and left it. That's still not the right thing to do obviously but it doesn't warrant being killed by a police officer. We don't live in the friggin third world here.
