hey guys, tomorrow a mate and i will be swapping diff ratios.i'll be going from 3.08 (vl v8) to 4.11s (pintra). how hard is it to do and do you guys have any pointers or tips?the diff is already spooled and is in my vk (355,powerglide3500 stall) one mate suggested that i wont even have to swap the pinion over.is this true/i thought you did..... thanks guys Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

that's a big jump in ratio, hope you know what your top end is going to be like? If you are going to change the crown then change the pinion that was originally with it, they wear "together", and make sure you shim it properly. I'd take it to a diff speciallist to do the final setup, as in pre-load etc. And seeing as you're going to pop the axles, I'd replace the bearing seals as they will almost always leak after being disturbed!
