Ok peeps, i know its not a VL, but i am hoping that your knowledge will be able to help me out anyway. I have a VN Calais that is shmick and is my first car. it has good factory paint, it has the system, it has the wheels, it has the interior etc etc... but it doesnt have the Power! Its a V6 Series One and its time i change over to either a V8 5L or something similiar. what i need to know, is if i chose a Holden 5L, what parts do i need to have the motor in my car and running? from what i know, i will need the motor, crossmember, tailshaft, computer and thats about where i run out of knowledge. so this is where i need your help. so, any help you could all give would be greatly appreciated.

I have been thinking about putting my vs 5.0 into my vn but dont know what else i need, so far i worked out that i need gearbox, computer, not sure about diff. i think brakes and radiator are the same for a six as a 5.0, when you do it let me know cos i miss my old 5.0.

to swap to a V8 u need V8 engine with loom and computer, V8 crossmember, brakes, vac booster/master cylinder, v8 gearbox, V8 radiator, V8 tailshaft, V8 diff, V8 front springs and sway bar and finally a V8 instrument cluster or tacho. then theres the fiddly stuff like engine mounts and different brackets, hoses and positions for accessories get a motor with all this stuff on it. Better yet buy a wreck, strip it and get everything
