dont get me wrong, i f.ucken love it. very fun. but not practical for everyday use. now is it possible to "pull out" the mini spool or is welded or what, is it just a part they put in the dif that locks it or is it permenantly stuck on. can i take it out and put it in withought damaging the diff?

You can remove it but you are going to need the spider gears that came from in there to get it back together!

Sorry to hijack for a sec but can someone tell me exactly what does a mini spool do? It usually pops up when theres a bit of decent power floating around, in turbo vl's n stuff. Does it convert the diff to a locker or something? going on what was said in the first post.

Yes it locks the axles together!

I agree they are great fun, but, suck aswell. do you have fun trying to reverse park? Just do what jet-6 suggested. you can get them from the wreckers if you havent got the orig.

oh and have you ever changed a diff before? if not get someone who has because you will have to pull the axels to remove the spool.

thanks for the info boys, another, can any diff speciallist pull it out and return it bak to standard lsd in one day? if so im in melb, u know anywhere in northern subs who is good and reasonable on my wallet? and how much approx am i lookin at? thanks
