why do you think your fuel pump is failing? All you need to do is connect a fuel pressure guage to the end of your fuel rail and take a reading of your pressure , both under load and no load and check for any variation or fluctuation. this should tell you the condition of fuel pump. make sure your pressure is within the specs. good luck

all you have to do is connect the fuel pressure guage to the fuel rail and place it in a position so you can see it from the drivers seat. then you can monitor the pressure while you place the car in drive, with foot on the brake, and slowly give it gas. You can see that the fuell pressure is rising as you accelerate. as for the microtech, its hard for me to tell, maybe they didnt tune it right who the hell knows, your fuell pressure reading could give you an indication. i think it is a good place to start as it is easy and free, after all your car will run like **** if you areent getting the fuel needed

yer its really running like a slob i think it might be the tuning at 1st but i will cheack more b4 i go and get a tune cause if my Fuel pump is stuffed then ill get a Better Bosch 044 or somthin to replace it the VLT standard item. also my fuel pump makes a loud humming noise wenever i turn the ignition key an di mean loud u can hear it outside the car and then after about 20 sec's it stops but if i turn the steering full lock u can still hear it. is that normal???

the humming noise is the fuel pump priming and the power steering noise is similar but it is caused by cavitation in the power steering fluid due to the rack being at the end of its range of movement
