Hey guys just wondering what you think would win. This faggot at school reckons his swift GTI would smash me in a drag. I'm wondering before i race him what would win? His swift is stock except for a cat bak exhasut. My VL has extractors, cat back exhaust, cold air intake, K&N panel filter, advance timming at 18 degrees and runs on optimax. Thanks for replies

Stock Suzuki Swift GTI 1/4 mile = 16.6 seconds Stock n/a auto VL 1/4 mile = 16.8 seconds Should be a close race.

Man, I had the exact same problem with one of my mates. He has a GTi with Pod filter, stage 2 cams, extractors and exhaust. I have a VL SL (auto), with a cat back zorst, and K&N panel...thats it. He kept giving me ****, that my car was crap and he would kill me. I finnally got to race him one day, and i got a real **** start, but the time i had reached about 4 grand in first i had almost 2 car lenghts on him. Now he thinks before he opens his mouth.

I just got to find the right opportunity. One day i'm just going to follow the prick home and find a set of lights on the way. I'm pretty sure i would smash him. Its a manuel swift but he is a **** driver. HE got beaten the other day by a bloke at my school with a CRX. I samsh the CRX by a fair bit so i think i would hopefully beat him otherwise i'm going to be ****in cut.

Nah man, u'll get him. As i said i did'nt even see the lights go green for a sec and he got a bit of a start on me, but i still **** all over him. Make sure when you beat him you give him plenty of **** too. Remeber.... These crappy ricers need to be shown the true way to car bliss.... THROUGH VL's!!! Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

if it's manual and he's a **** driver, you've got a great advantage even though you've got an auto slushbox

well it would be close, i got my mates Swift about a car length but that was with a exhaust leak, then 2nd time i raced him, he got me coz my exhaust leak got even bigger lol and yea my mate first sed "see that thing over there (he points to his swift), it eats VLs" and now i laugh, only coz he talked his pos up when it was really nothing but.... a pos lol

Dont knock swift gti's my mate has a 95 model and it would shi.t all over my old vl. He took me for a ride and I was really suprised at the kick that this thing has. They are very quick cars for a 1.3 litre engine.

Yeah well they can be quick, but i have beaten all the ones i have gone against (3). Usually by about 1 car length, then i pull away at top speed (undisclosed). My vl has only got headers, exhaust, filter and its an auto. O and it has no tachometer. But i usually only race the **** ones he he

nah a vl would beat a swift fairly easy, youd feel like the swift is going faster then it actualy is as compared to driving a vl as you will be going through each gear alot faster then a vl ,if yah get me.

if your auto vl doesn't beat a swift gti then it's a slow bucket. i've an auto vl and it's quite fast for n/a.

well go out and race one... simple... and very easy.. it all depends on the car itself and the person driving it... thats all it comes down too.. i have raced one just for fun with my NA... the guy was hopeless only coz he does not know how to drive a manual car.. also my car is an auto plus its well looked after which is another point too.. by the time he was into 3rd i was still in 2nd and was at 90 and about 3 cars ahead...

Yeah swifts can really throw their weight around. Not bad at all, a turbo GTi will eat most things on the road.

Mate feed your VL some roids and then the guyts fat head will pop. lol. Mate if your VL is in nice mechanical nick you should smoke it. Basically in any car like ours it comes down to the driver. on road a 15s car isnt that much different from a 16s car if you know what i mean...just give it all in first and especially second as once your at 100+ the dispacement and tourque takes over and so too does the VL hehe of course do this at easterncreek or something. good luck mate let us know how u go. Cheers
