Gday everyone, I realize this topic has been done to death, i have done a search and still can't find a definate answer. My car started out as an auto standard RB30E Berlina. I have converted the motor to an RB25DET and have also converted the gearbox to an RB25DET 5 speed. I bet you knew this was coming... How do you get the bloody speedo to work??? If someone could tell me 1) What parts are required or... 2) If anyone else done the conversion succesfully It would be greatly appreciated. If at all possible i would prefer to keep the original speedo rather than tacking in an aftermarket item. If anyone else wants details of other parts of the conversion (someone might be having problems with another aspect) please PM me as i would be happy to tell you everything I have encountered. Thanks in advance

yes, i have read this in some posts on here but im sure someone can answer your question correctly. if i remember correctly u can either get your spedo recalibrated or use a different speedo cable adaptor or something. bump!

U need a vlt manual speedo right angle drive but your speedo will read wrong unless u fit the speedo drive gear in the gear box aswell.

you will need the VLT speedo drive unit, part number 32702 - 02G17, the 90 degree adapter, i dont have a part number but i can put you in touch with a place that sells them, and the manual turbo speedo cable part number 92025125. Aparantly you can use the non turbo manual speedo cable and connect it straight onto the drive unit, without the 90 degree adapter, however this seems to work on some cars and not others.
