I was there, ran the VL up to but was disapointed with 202 rwkws.
There wasn't a very good turn out with the CCCWA having an event on the same day & all. Was good if you like gen3's though with them taking up 90% of field but, personally I'd rather see what the older holden V8's would pull plus some VL turbos would have been nice.

Different dyno, different day etc.... You can never compare 2 different dyno's.... Mine read 200rwhp on Chipmasters dyno @ 7psi boost no cooler, and then 201rwhp on PSI's dyno with the cooler and 10PSI....
Just use 1 dyno, and keep going back to that.

10-06-04, 15:16 GMT+10#12 yeah i realise what you're saying about the different dynos illusiv, just would have been nice to slap down a few gen3's.

11-06-04, 13:40 GMT+10#13 but also a point to be made is that most dyno's would have dyno dynamics accreditation for Shootout Modes. This mode used for competition in summernats etc.
Also, magazines like Street Machine etc do not accept dyno figures unless they are done in shootout mode.
If you use one dyno that uses that Shootout mode and go to another using the same mode then power figures shouldnt differ at all except for circumstances like Air Temp, Humidity etc..
Craig i know CHippy has shootout mode but does Brett?? thats prolly why the power figure difference etc

11-06-04, 19:07 GMT+10#14 What would be a reason that when I ran my VL Calais on sunday that each run kept getting higher? Third run got 87.3rwkw out of a stock N/A. Everytime i have run my VP in the past on the same dyno the first run was the highest.

11-06-04, 21:55 GMT+10#15 Brett has shootout mode but there are more variables such as my power run at PSI was done at 3am & on the S/C day my car hadn't reached running temp yet.

Actually d1ckhead, the run on PSI's dyno before we put the boost up to 10psi was 163rwhp@5psi... then with the boost up it was 201rwhp@10psi
So that is a 38rwhp increase with 5psi more.... Plus is was about 45deg in the workshop....
If I went back to Chipmasters dyno my car may have read 238rwhp... it may have read less.... Who knows? Different dyno, different day.....
My run at chipmaster was done in August last year, and my run at PSI in Jan this year... Big temperature change and humidity.... My clutch wasn't the greatest before the PSI run... those 2 things could be the difference, and they may not.....
