first start off by removing wheels etc. as shown in the gearbox DIY. then remove the drive shafts from the gear box by pulling them outward. (you may need a big screwdriver to prey them out) use circlip pliers to remove the clip infront of the CV bearings use a bearing puller to remove the bearings drom the drive shaft. remove all the old boots and other items, and give the shaft a bit of a clean (obviously this pic is before the clean) wrap the splines on the drive shaft with tape so that you dont damage the new boots. and slide the new boots on open your pack of CV grease and squeeze it into the boot (the grease useualy comes with the boots) clean around the edges of excess grease now put the metal clamps around the ends of the boots and use a nail punch to secure them in place. replace the drive shafts etc. you now have nice new boots Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Anyone save the pics from this? I've been in touch with the author of the thread but unfortunately he has lost the pics. Thanks.

i hope your only talking about the inner boot cos the outer one you just bash off with a hammer. only the clip doesnt always let go and your forced to take the shaft out. putting the outer CV join on can be a 2 or even 3 man job on some cause the clips can be a huge prrick to get back in to groove. i speak from a great deal of experience
