FS: White Series 2 VL Calais -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The car is up for sale (Details below) Pics can be seen at : Picture 1 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/1.jpg) Picture 2 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/2.jpg) Picture 3 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/3.jpg) Picture 4 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/4.jpg) Picture 5 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/5.jpg) Picture 6 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/6.jpg) Picture 7 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/7.jpg) Picture 8 (http://www.insanevl.gil.com.au/ATM06/8.jpg) Car was originally a S2 Calais Turbo, but now has an N/A engine in it, however, all the mechanicals are still Turbo specifications (Turbo g/box, Turbo Brakes, Turbo Diff, Turbo Master Cylinder, etc...), great to get around as a n/a and then covert into a Turbo later as all the components are there except the motor itself. This combination came about when I purchased this car as a S2 Calais Turbo Shell without Gearbox or Motor on the intention of putting turbo running gear in - but at the time finances were a bit tight and I needed to get around so my N/A motor and gearbox from my "ATM06" car found its way in. Later I replaced the gearbox with a Turbo Jatco with highstall in anticipation of putting the turbo motor in still - however I got my hands on more funds than I expected and purchased a Calais Turbo out-right. Now I need to get this car sold as I have a few other debts catching up on me. I'm looking for $4,900 ono as most of the mechanicals have been changed recently (15 months ago) such as the Master Cylinder, All the suspension, Gearbox, Front Brakes, Steering Rack, and a few others. This price is Negotiable - will accept offers ! I'm sure most people know about the cam shaft in the car is quite large, and emits a *very* lumpy exhaust note due to this, and quite honestly, whilst the car does perform better than a standard n/a, it does not perform to its best ability, however, this can be negated by a) chipping the computer, b) replacing the cam, c) changing to a turbo motor as above, or d) putting up with it. Problems with the car are all noted below in the Details. Plenty of detail in this post as the most annoying thing is people only list the "good" points about thier car when selling, and when you check it out - there are mountains of problems wrong with it - I'd rather not waste both yours and my time if your looking for an absolute *PERFECT* vehicle (bearing in mind, this car is 17 years old). I have been quoted roughly $600 to fix the panel work up (few chips and front bumper needing painting) - this will not be done prior to sale as this is factored into the price i am after. The car does come with Rego, and a proper RWC (not a dodgey one as lots of people like to get these days). The car was up for sale 2 months ago, but I have been a bit lazy in trying to find a buyer, but it now needs to go. Also during this time I fixed up a few things since then mainly for RWC and some other annoying things. Contact me on [phone removed], or e-mail me at [email removed] if you have any questions or would like to show interest in the car. Pic 4 came out a bit blurry - the Purple bit on the bottom left is the top of the drivers door as it was open at the time of the photo.

Haven't bumped this as I had someone say they were giving a deposit etc, etc, etc - 2 1/2 weeks later, still stuffing round with the deposit (yet alone the rest of the money). Will take $4,900 no lower if someone wants a Registered, Road Worthy, S2 VL Calais Turbo with N/A Engine.

Very very interested. Willing to put it on the train and send it to cairns? Also, could I see some close up photos of all the typical rust problem spots (under the battery, windscreens and boot) edit: Where about in brisvegas are you and can I organise for a mate to check it out some time? Thanks.
