my m8 has a vp v6 and its got that rattle sound that ive heard most vn's make and my m8s vr is also starting to make this sound. just want to find out if ne1 knows what the noise is.
i was thinking that it could be a noisy timing chain, but i dont know much about the v6's.
also my m8 wants 2 know if vy clear side indicators fit on earlier models ie vn-vp-vr.
if any1 can help that would be great
i know those tensioner pulleys get noisy so i got him to change it, but nothing. we tried spinning every pulley but they were pretty good. also its not very noticable at all when its cold. mainly when its warmed up (if that helps)
im not a mechanic BUT my GF has a vr v6 and i know the exact rattle your talking a bout, im 90% sure its the main bearings, the vn,vp,vr 6 are well known for being a **** engine (no offence intended) but thats the exact reason my GF is selling her's
