You got the "stance" right. Looks good. That bonnet may need a respray by the looks.

yeah, you can see one spot on the bonnet that i tried to polish, it came up alright. will get the rest done professionally, and possibly a respray if it requires it.

picked me up some VT front seats on the weekend from the wreckers. Also found a wagon disc brake rear end and picked that up too. Havn't installed either yet, but will finally get rid of the old drum brakes. here are some pics of the seats.

Nice wago barto. Gez your bonnet changed between the two pics. BTW are you going to take off the mudflaps?

barto_85Archived member
yeah, the mudflaps are going to be taken off, just been too lazy and didn't do it last time I had the wheels off. I've taken the backs off... thanks for the comments. I spent about 45 minutes cut and creaming and polishing the bonnet, just a temporary fix for now, but looks much better.

got the diff from a place called VL Projex. They had another disc brake diff there, it was for a sedan but apparently only a few things such as shock mounts need to be changed to fit a wagon. they wanted $330 for it. Their number is 3285 1922. They're basically a wreckers specialising in commodores and VL's.

more progress with the wagon. Prepared the diff for installation with lots of cleaning, painting, new hoses, brakelines, pads. She's finally ready to go in. Here are the pics. Before: After: Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
