Hi all, I am trying to plan a cruise in Sydney to raise money for Red Nose Day, which is the fund raising day for SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome or cot death). A very dear friend of mine lost a son recently to SIDS, and all affected have committed to help raise money and promote awareness of this tragic occurrence. Red Nose Day this year is on Friday 25 June, so I was looking to organise a cruise on Saturday 26 June (Friday might be difficult with those who have families). All we would ask is that everyone involved would purchase a red nose for their car, and perhaps buy themselves a red nose or throw in a few dollars. I havent decided on a location, but it would be great if anyone interested could post suggestions. I am also hoping to open the cruise up to any cars at all. Perhaps someone could organize a similar cruise interstate. Thanks, Slaka

There is also likely to be a meeting point at Penrith at about 10.15am, but i will provide the meeting point shortly. The cruise is also up on the Street Commodores website, and they will be attending to take some photos for the magazine. At this stage it looks like they don't sell the red noses for cars anymore, so what we are asking is $15 per car (we will provide a red ribbon to tie to your arial), and every passenger to buy a red nose. Slaka just found out that you can buy red noses for cars, and I will have them with me on the day. Here is a site with all the details http://www.pnc.com.au/~kurts/rednose.htm

A few people wanted extra meeting points, so now we are meeting a little earlier in Penrith, and a little later in Silverwater: Penrith Krispy Kremes - 10am M4 Maccas Eastern Creek - 10.30am Silverwater Boat Ramp - 11.15am Can everyone let me know who is coming still. Suttons Holden have now donated a HRT jacket, with each car entered to go into the draw to win it. Just a little more to encourage people to come along.

The Penrith Panthers have also donated a signed football, and there may be more prizes to come. If anyone has any questions/problems you can call me on [phone removed]
