This is my mates car that I have been restoring for him from a bare metal shell, It will be hitting the roads again in the no so distant future. VL Muzza and RB30jet might recognise this car from long ago. Alot of work has been carried out by my mate on this car, It has a Pavtek built motor with forged SPS pistons and O-ringed block for reliabilty, standard cam, throttle body, Bosch 036 injectors and running a Autronic SMC ECU installed by PET. A Yarra Valley built Jatco 4 speed trans with a TCE 3,200 hi-stall and a standard VLT Borg-Warner diff with a 3.9 ratio LSD. Turbo is now a To3-4 Hybrid with internal wastegate built by Rotormaster. It has been down the quarter twice running 21psi with a ATS built "Bluey" spec turbo and managed to run a 12.3 @ 113mph from memory on street tyres with standard fuel pump. Sadly the turbo cried enough and grenaded on the drive home from Calder Park raceway. With the new turbo and bigger 044 fuel pump the car should break a 11 on slicks easy. I have still to finish painting and reassembly of the car which will take some time yet. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Yeah the battery is relocated to the boot the owner of bluejet did that he is a electrician by trade so wireing is a piece of cake for him. I can't wait till it's finished should run easy 11's and that's all the owner wants to run he's not really into dragging anymore, this car would run a 10 if the auto was changed to a Keas built one and turbo upgraded to a GT35/40. It has all the rest of the goodies.

It even has a dodged up AFM so the coppers think it looks standard when in actual fact shes running a Autronic SMC. Well provideing it does'nt get EPA then we have to change it back to standard with a emergency EPA kit. Still lots to do, parts to be chromed etc. I'II keep the progress photos coming. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

Andrew, I will post some more pictures up. I'm still working away on it when I find the time. Just tonite I bolted the front guards and bonnet up properly, Tommorow swap all the old headlight wireing over into the brand new headlights. And my goal for this week is to have all the front back together which is only the headlights, pop-ups, grille, mouldings and front bar. The rear end is all assembled bar the quarter panel calais moulds and the bootlid mould, I'm going to do that when I urethane every body mould on, no use opening a urethane if your only useing a small amount, as it goes off and it's a waste. I will do it all in one hit. All doors are assembled, but the front LHS door needs the electric mirror wireing harness rewired as it's been dodged up by the panel beater who last put the door skin on, I can't believe why he cut the wireing right back to the plug then used dodgey conectors - idiots. The interior is getting steamed cleaned by the cars owner, so less time is wasted putting it back together. There really is'nt much left to do, but it's little things that make the job time consuming, that is if you plan to do a job correctly, such as lubricateing all electric motors, sealing in tailights with butyl mastic sealant, spraying cavity wax inside the doors to prevent any future rust problems. etc. For an example I spent a good hour cleaning the boot rubber, all the gunk and overspray from previous owners. It all takes time unfortunately. I post pictures and you'll get my idea. The car should be driving on the road by next month. - Well that's the plan. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.

This is the same stuff used by windscreen fitters, I allso use 3M brand of double sided tape as well for extra hold. Some original photos have not been recovered yet.
