I am putting an RB25DET (manual) into my VL and was just wondering if anybody knows if the RB25 tailshaft will bolt up to a VL Turbo diff? I read something about the tail shaft yoke being different? Thanks

A mate did his an he used a single piece tail shaft with modified uni's. The rear uni off the vl went to the diff, not sure about the front. I think the front uni came with the gear box, from the wreckers.

I had to send my tailshaft away to get modified, it cost like 500 bucks! I think the RB20DET box bolts straight up but the 25 is different. Stick with the 25 though as they are a much stronger box (Internally the same as a GTR just without the 4wd bits)

just get the RB25 yoke fitted to your VL (manual) tailshaft.

Freind just did this, you need a mx7 yoke in the box, a manual tailshaft front half and a auto back half. But it could be different as its a wagon. Also your speedo will be out by 20kms and you also need a vl manual gearbox speedo drive piece to replace the electric speedo sender.

Don't use a rb25det front uni cos they are of the non serviceable type. Some V6 navara's use the same yoke and have changable unis.
