With an N/A manual vl, are there any other cars you can get the master clutch cylinder from? I'm having a really hard time trying to find one at the wreckers, been to a fair few now. The Nissan pintara (88 model) has one that looks damned similar, anyone else seen these?

I dunno what your budget is but you can buy fully reconditined ones. I got mine here in adelaide from PBR brakes for about $100-$150 (was over a year ago so dont remeber exactly). They are fully recond and stainless steel sleeved so they are better than the genuine ones ever were.

thanks very much, i'll call up PBR in melbourne, they appear to have a store located in east bentleigh (not too far from where i am). hopefully pick up the part this morning around 10am and have it to the mechanics so my conversion can be completed :-)

I bought the master clutch cylinder today as a new part made by PBR. I can give you details on where to buy that, also I can give details on the mechanic doing the conversion for my car. He's a damn fine mechanic as has done a great job with everything so far. Also the place that sells the master clutch cylinders cheap and the mechanics are both located in the SE suburbs of melb which seems to be the area you're in. Drop me an email ([email removed]) or private message and i'll help you out.

hahaha ok, well the place im getting my work done is so close to your place you could walk (well if you HAD to) :P It's just up the end of ferntree gully road where it turns in to burwood hwy. Haven't got the car back yet but in labour costs I've been told I'm looking at around the $350-400 mark. (not including cost of the old box removed from the car) The name of the guy doing it is Andrew Williams, and the place: AW Automatics Factory 1, 23 Kevin Avenue, Ferntree Gully 9758 0448 I should be picking up the car this monday morning and i'll give you a yell how all the conversion has gone :-)

kewl, thanks. would love to drop mine off somewhere next week drive in/drive out. it's just i'd rather do some overtime at work and pay someone else to do it, then spend a weekend underneath it and get stuck myself.
